Measurement of the W mass at CDF

The CDF collaboration has used electron and muon decays of the W boson in a sample of {approximately}19pb{sup -1} to measure m(W) = 80.41 {+-} 0.18 GeV/c{sup 2}. The measurement is discussed in terms of the prospects for the improved accuracy of future measurements.
