Random ak, bk can produce an appreciable Δv spread (AD/RHIC-AP-52, 1987) the largest Δv occurs when Ey =0. The |v1-v2| found for the largest Ex is a v-spread, since smaller |v1-v2| will be found for smaller Ex.
