Implementation of a prototype training and networking program for minority entrepreneurs and business people in energy-related fields. Final report, July 1990--June 1991
In line with these responsibilities of the US Department of Energy, Office of Minority Economic Impact, this project was designed to address problems and implement strategies to assist the underprivileged, minority and entrepreneurs in large metropolitan areas. This project addressed the need for women and minorities to gain access to the many opportunities available in the varied energy-related fields. One way for these ``budding entrepreneurs`` to become associated with energy-related businesses, learn the ropes, and eventually own a similar business is to be exposed to the guidance of an established business. Toward that end, a series of relevant projects have been identified with the assistance of the Small Business Administration (SBA), the private sector, and the Department of Energy (DOE).
