Nuclear power: tamed and mature for a place in our energy supply
ABS>The cost structure of electric power from a nuclear power plant is briefly explained. The fuel cycle is then outiined and its influence on fuel costs stated. The form and distribution of ths radioactive wastes is then discussed, and possible methods of disposal described. The emergency cooling requirements are explained and finally the hazards following a reactor accident are briefly evaluated. (NO)
