Successfully achieving a smart electric infrastructure that delivers reliability and quality in today’s operating environment demands more than just good technology. Utlities are faced with growing demand and increased carbon constraints. To help mitigate these market conditions, deployment of a smart electic infrastructure is needed. Regulatory support, consumer acceptance and industry leadership are critical to the deployment of this smart electric infrastructure that can deliver reliable power under increased system constraints.
