Title: SSR characteristics of alternative types of series compensation schemes

Performance of alternative Series Compensation methods has been studied for typical transient torque and torsional interaction types of SSR problems. The study compared conventional banks with banks which utilize thyristors to either control the level of series compensation or introduce SSR damping.
