The Facilities Upgrade (Restoration) Program was initiated to investigate the extent of deterioration and obsolescence of equipment, facilities, and systems required in support of activities at the Hanford Site, to forecast resources and schedules to remove the identified deficiencies, and to effectively manage the implementation of approved and funded upgrade efforts. The basic objectives of the upgrade program are: to assess the extent of deterioration and obsolescence of equipment, facilities, and systems which are required to support the Nuclear Materials Production and Defense Waste Management Programs; to forecast resources and schedules to restore the decreased capabilities and efficiency which are identified in the assessment in accordance with program needs; to effectively manage and implement the approved and funded program activities; and to update the upgrading assessment and resultant forecasts/resources/schedules annually to assure upgrading priorities are consistent with Nuclear Materials Production and Defense Waste and Byproducts Management`s needs. 12 figs., 11 tabs.
