Dissipation of the energy of powerful radiation in the ionosphere

The article presents an evaluation of the effectiveness of anomalous absorption of the energy of intense SHF waves in the ionosphere associated with the excitation of plasma oscillations as a result of dissociational processes. It is established that, with sufficiently intense energy fluxes, the power of the anomalous dissipation can exceed the Joule heat loss.
