Heat and mass transfer in liquid boiling

This paper focuses on boiling in a large volume; calculation of the heat-transfer crisis is discussed. The influence of heater dimensions and liquid heating to the saturation temperature are examined. Heating transfer on boiling and the calculation of the heat-transfer crisis with slow water flow are considered. It is noted that the use of the law of locally turbulent diffusion and well-known physical models permits an analytical description of mass transfer in boiling and leads to the formulas required for practical calculations of heat transfer nad heat-transfer crisis.
