Effect of synthesis and pretreatment conditions on the state of the external surface of type TsVM zeolites

Using the paramagnetic probe method with 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl, we have studied the effect of synthesis conditions on the dimensions and aprotic acidity of the external surface of type TsVM zeolites (3 mass % Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/). We have shown that as the crystallization time increases, the concentration of coordination-saturated Al/sup 3 +/ ions on the external surface increases and comprises up to 10% of the total aluminum content, assuming it is uniformly distributed in the sample.
