This volume contains discussions by 16 acknowledged authorities on important legal and tax problems of the oil and gas industry. The articles were delivered in condensed form as lectures during the three-day conference held by the Southwestern Legal Foundation in Dallas during February. The papers cover creditors' rights, federal regulation, contracts, surface estate, water rights, top lease, lessee pooling, utilization and division orders, financing techniques, and new developments in taxation and allocations. A separate abstract was prepared for each of the 14 papers for the Energy Data Base (EDB) and Energy Abstracts for Policy Analysis (EAPA).
