Two categories of limitations of present-day physical science are discussed. The first relates to the inadequacy of physics to deal with the phenomena of life and consciousness. The second relates to weaknesses within physcial theory itself, with regard to the definition of space-time points in general relativity and quantum mechanics as well as with regard to problems of quantum mechanical measurement theory.
