This bibliography contains citations concerning lubricants used in the forging industries to reduce tool wear and help prevent buildup formation on tools. Methods developed to select and evaluate forging lubricants for both safety and effectiveness are described. Low-pollution level, water-based synthetic lubricants, and non-corrosive, graphite-free lubricants are described.
