Students' perception of environmental problems and sources of environmental information
Selected factors that potentially influence the environmental values of students in seventh through 12th grades were investigated. These factors included students' knowledge about environmental problems, students' perceptions of the chances of solving environmental problems, students' concern about environmental problems, and students' sources of environmental information. Study results indicate that generally, all students appear to have a high concern for environmental problems, especially those in grades eight and 12. Most students are optimistic about the chances for solving environmental problems. Science clases are probably the most effective source of environmental information. (14 references, 5 tables)
