Mine rescue teams play a critical role in restoring mine ventilation after a disaster. Teams explore inby specifically to assess damages, measure airflow conditions and check damages to ventilation controls. Teams often alter ventilation according to orders from command officials. This training manual is intended to provide teams with background in the purpose, principles and methods of mine ventilation. The manual also covers the mine ventilation map, map symbols and airflow measuring devices.
