This commentary examines points not presented in the paper Potential Impacts of Nuclear Activities on Local Economics: Rethinking the Issue', in particular why people don't move away from locations they see as dangerous. Reasons suggested by the author include: they do not feel they can; they feel that the fiscal and emotional costs of relocating will only place them within range of another peril; People feel that they knew less when they moved near the location that they know now about the risks. 1 ref.
