The development and application of high accuracy thermodynamic data and models for the natural gas industry is important in a number of applications. As better in situ fluid sensing technology develops, greater need will arise for high quality thermodynamic data to allow real time monitoring of changes occurring to the fluid. The application of the data in the gas industry covers a broad range and includes natural gas custody transfer, gas production and processing, compressed natural gas vehicles to name a few. Comprehensive data sets of high quality thermodynamic data covering the ranges of pressure and temperature required to meet all of the gas industry's applications are very rare.
