The Thermal Performance Diagnostic Manual is intended to be a tool that will assist the utilities in determining the cause of loss megawatts. This manual consists of a generic PWR performance diagnostic tree, a generic BWR performance diagnostic tree, guidelines for converting the generic trees to plant specific trees and instructions on how to use the performance diagnostic trees. Volume 1 of this report describes the process by which the performance diagnostic trees were developed.
