Title: Spectrum of the cosmic background radiation: early and recent measurements from the White Mountain Research Station

Spectrum of the cosmic background radiation: early and recent measurements from the White Mountain Research Station The White Mountain Research Station has provided a support facility at a high, dry, radio-quiet site for measurements that have established the blackbody character of the cosmic microwave background radiation. This finding has confirmed the interpretation of the radiation as a relic of the primeval fireball and helped to establish the hot Big Bang theory as the standard cosmological model.
