Adsorption of methanol and methylcellosolve from solutions on aluminosilicate catalyst

We investigated the adsorption of methanol, methylcellosolve, and their mixture at an aluminosilicate catalyst. The sorption was conducted with a solution of n-heptane. The samples were analyzed by gas chromatography. In order to determine whether specific adsorption of one of the substances (methanol or methylcellosolve) occurs during the process we studied the concurrent adsorption. The adsorption isotherms of methanol and methylcellosolve were of the same type as for individual adsorption.
