Sintering relationships and the regulation of pore structure of aluminum oxide systems

A study has been made of the thermal stability of the pore structure of ..gamma..-Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ from boehmite and pseudoboehmite in the region of temperatures up to 1050/sup 0/C. On the basis of the results obtained, within the framework of a biporous structural model for the ..gamma..-Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/, techniques have been mapped for the regulation of primary and secondary porosity of supports.
