Internal corrosion control methods used at Prudhoe Bay are presented and the authors describe several steps toward recognizing and solveing problems. The first step is to define the problem, then to review the possible methods. Examples of simple problems are presented, in particular, a sucker-rod pumping lease where wells were beginning to experience rod breasks and tubing leaks.
