Laboratory options in the development of the nuclear engineering undergraduate curriculum

The evolution of the undergraduate laboratory structure in nuclear engineering at the University of Illinois is described in this paper. The laboratory structure is being broadened in coverage to provide complimentary laboratory experience for upper division undergraduate lecture courses. The laboratory experience is also aimed at improving undergraduate student skills in design and synthesis, communications, and computer use.
