Radiochemical determination of radionuclides in nuclear power plant wastewaters and water-coolant reservoirs I. Selection of conditions for the simultaneous preconcentration of gamma-emitting radionuclides

The authors present a workable method for radiochemical analysis involving radionuclide preconcentration by a set of the following sorbents: an initial sorbent to collect the gamma-emitting radionuclides; and a subsequent sorbent for the preconcentration of Sr. They discuss the selection of conditions for simultaneous sorptive preconcentration of the gamma-emitting radionuclides. Experimental results confirm the usefulness of the method for preconcentrating and determining radionuclides.
