Elastic and quasielastic /sup 3/Hep-scattering at a /sup 3/He-momentum 2. 5 GeV/c

The differential cross sections for /sup 3/Hep elastic and quasielastic scattering and the mean energy loss of fast protons in the reaction p+/sup 3/He..-->..p/sub F/+X are obtained using the ITEP 80-cm liquid hydrogen bubble chamber, exposed to a /sup 3/He beam at momentum 2.5 GeV/c (the primary-proton kinetic energy in the rest frame of the nucleus is T/sub p/ = 0.318 GeV). The data are compared with the Glauber-Sitenko multiple-scattering-theory predictions.
