Design and installation of LPG storage for BP Petroleum Development Ltd.'s Wytch Farm Project on the Isle of Purbeck was guided by the central need to obscure the storage site from view and preserve the natural beauty of the island. The Wytch Farm oil field development is an expansion project aimed at increasing crude-oil production from 5,500 b/d to 60,000 b/d. The oil field is located beneath the southern shores of Poole Harbour on the south coast of the U.K. in an area of outstanding beauty and adjacent to sites of special scientific interest.
