Thermodynamic limits on solar thermal power

A study of solar, thermal power plants is described. The method allows for the treatment of the plant operation under both steady state and cyclic conditions. This latter description is most useful since the actual performance of a functioning plant will closely conform to this condition. The approach used in this study does not assume a simple Carnot efficiency.
