Fragment flow in nuclear collisions
Journal Article

· Phys. Rev. Lett.; (United States)
The flow of light nuclei (Z = 1,2) and intermediate-mass nuclear fragments (3less than or equal toZ<10) is measured in collisions of 200-MeV/nucleon AU+Au over a large solid angle. An increase in the fragment-position and momentum-space alignment relative to the reaction plane is observed: The fragments exhibit stronger flow effects than light particles.
