Evaluating the output setting of a bin feeder in conveyor systems

A method is presented based on a system approach for determining the settings for feeders by taking into account the interaction of the bins, as controlled by the bottlenecks of the transportation system and component conveyor lines. The principle of settings distribution is to create similar capabilities for unloading all the bins in the system responsive to three factors: bin capacity, incoming load flow rates, and the performance capabilities of conveyors and conveyor lines.
