A model for predicting the nonlinear response of hybrid laminates subjected to thermomechanical loads is presented. The theory accounts for the residual stress state present in the laminate following the cure cycle. Predictions of the model are compared to the measured response of 0 deg and 90 deg coupons for two different ARALL laminates. Excellent agreement is found between predicted and experimental results for the tensile response and good agreement is found for the Poisson's response. 14 refs.
