The ways in which fly ash, bottom ash and flue gas desulphurization wastes are utilized in the US are reviewed, and further uses are suggested. The possible removal of CO/sub 2/ for application in enhanced oil recovery is considered. The author also discusses the combustion of industrial waste materials in power plants.
