Title: Corrosion mitigation techniques for steam generator chemical cleaning

Abstract

As more utilities recognize the beneficial aspects of steam generator chemical cleaning, more cleanings are performed, and as a result, new information is obtained. This paper discusses one evolving aspect of chemical cleaning, i.e., corrosion monitoring of the steam generator internals and welds during chemical cleaning. Specifically, it discusses the methods of mitigating the corrosion attack of the cleaning solvents on sensitive components of the steam generators.
