Oil well production testing
This patent describes an oil well tester. It includes a test vessel having an inlet through which oil well production fluid can be inducted into the test vessel to undergo gravity segregation of different phases of the production fluid; a gas removal means operatively associated with the upper-most portion of the interior of the test vessel, the gas removal means being responsive to gas pressure for removing from the test vessel any gas phase of the production fluid within the test vessel, the gas removal means having a first valve means; a first liquid discharge means having an upstream end in fluid communication with a lower region of the test vessel, the first discharge means having a second valve means operatively associated with a downstream end thereof; a second liquid discharge means having an upstream end in fluid communication with an upper region of the test vessel, the second discharge means having a third valve means operatively associated with a downstream end thereof.
