Double gated valve
This patent describes a gate valve. It comprises a valve body having a flowway therethrough, and a cavity therein intersecting the flowway, first and second gates each having a port therethrough and mounted in side by side relation within the valve body cavity for relative reciprocation between open position in which the port is aligned with the flowway and closed position in which a solid portion of the gate is aligned with the flowway, an actuator for so moving the gates including means for moving the first gate from closed to open position automatically in response to movement of the second gate from closed to open position and for moving the second gate from open to closed position automatically in response to movement of the first gate from open to closed position.
