Title: Solar voltaic cells

Abstract

The fabrication technology, physics and practical application of solar cells is explained. Emphasis is placed on the cost, or potential cost, of established and novel schemes for making solar cells, as well as a description of the performnace levels attained by various approaches. Problems involved in mass production, performance certification and the expected lifetime of photovoltaic modules, arrays and systems ae discussed. (SPH)
