The Coshocton City Landfill site is located about 3.5 miles southeast of Coshocton, Ohio. Contaminants found in high concentrations at the site include acetone, chlorinated phenols, phthalates, and xylenes. Potential contaminant-migration pathways include dermal contact with or ingestion of ground water, surface water, soils, and/or leachate. The site is of potential public health concern because of the potential for exposure to the contaminants through domestic usage of the ground water, dermal contact and/or inhalation, and the potential for physical injury for remedial workers and trespassers.
