Solid electrolytes in the Ga/sub 2/O/sub 3/-TiO/sub 2/-Na/sub 2/O system
This article investigates the resistivity and structure in sections of the Ga/sub 2/O/sub 3/-TiO/sub 2/-Na/sub 2/O system with the constant ratios Ga/sub 2/O/sub 3//Na/sub 2/O=1/1 and 1.5/2. The x-ray diffraction analysis of the sintered samples was carried out on a DRON-0.5 diffractometer, and the thermal x-ray diffraction analysis was performed on a DRON-2, 0 diffractometer with a URVT-2000 high-temperature attachment. The measurement of electrical conductivity indicated that the addition of titanium dioxide results in a sharp decrease in the resistivity of sodium monogallate. It is established that the factor determining the high conductivity of the solid electrolytes in the Ga/sub 2/O/sub 3/-TiO/sub 2/O system is the high concentration of sodium vacancies formed as a result of the replacement of Ga/sup 3 -/ ions by Ti/sup 4 +/ ions.
