Blanket design

Blanket designs for the currently planned next-generation tokamak at JAERI, the Fusion Experimental Reactor (FER), a commercial reactor, and INTOR-J have been studied with the technical assistance of manufacturing companies. The FER blanket design is the most comprehensive since it is the nearest and most realistic target for reactor designers. A summary of the FER is given.
