Title: ''Fixed Factor Measurement'' a new concept in measurement

Conference · · Proc. Int. Sch. Hydrocarbon Meas.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5066086

The theory of ''Fixed Factor Measurement'' is discussed. It is defined as simply the application of a constant loaded regulator, adjusted for required constant PSI outlet pressure. An applicable pressure correction factor is programmed into a computer designated for that meter and account number. When the monthly uncorrected meter reading is entered into the computer, designated for that meter number, the computer applies the fixed pressure correction factor and the consumer's invoice is computed in standard cubic foot units. The author stresses the importance of applying the correct regulator to obtain the optimum ''Fixed Factor Measurement'' accuracy.
