Calibration of hot chambers of attachments to x-ray diffractometers
The authors designed a chamber which can be calibrated according to reference points of the phase transitions of various materials including their melting, and also according to the change of the lattice period of some high-melting materials. The chamber of the device URVT-2000 VP is made in the form of an attachment to a general purpose x-ray diffractometer. Temperature calibration of the chambers, in which molybdenum MCh 99.9% was investigated, was carried out with the aid of a standard specimen of temperature coefficient of linear expansion (TCLE) of molybdenum. The implemented methods of temperature calibration of chambers using standard specimens and other substances with known reference points of phase transitions increase the accuracy of x-ray measurements at high temperatures, carried out with the aid of devices and attachments to x-ray diffractometers.
