The authors studied the absorption luminescence of Nd/sup 3 +/ ions in disordered La/sub 3/Ga /SUB 5.5/ Nb /SUB 0.5/ O/sub 14/ and calculated the luminescence from the intensity parameters using integrated coefficients of absorption of intermultiplet bands of the activator. They present, in two figures and four extensive tables, a large sampling of the data gathered including emission spectra, luminescence spectra, coordinates of basal atoms, interatomic distances, intensity of characteristics of luminescence, and parameters of stimulated emission.
