This paper will review the installation of the innovative MOPICO (MOtor PIpeline COmpressor) on a main transmission line segment of the Columbia Gas Transmission system in Harford County, Maryland. A review of the environmental and operational requirements for the construction process as well as for the operation of the station will be the foundation from which the various features of the station and the MOPICO technology will be discussed. The station consists of three MOPICO motor compressors operating in series.
