HEAT CAPACITY OF LIQUID BISMUTH. Technical Report No. 1
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4135441
The true heat capacity of liquid bismuth was measured from 544.5 to 801.8 deg K by a method of mixtures using a liquid bismuth calorimeter. The results show a decrease in heat caparity with increasing temperature. The results are discussed in relation to the structure of the liquid. One conclusion reached is that there are associations similar to those found in the solid in the vicinity of the melting point which break up with increasing temperature. (auth)
