Under the Energy Policy Act of 1992, the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council (NAS) was to submit a report to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the technical bases for the content of environmental protection standards for the proposed nuclear waste reposition, at Yucca Mountain, Nevada. On August 1, 1995, the NAS formally transmitted their committee report to the EPA. This report discusses the NAS report.
