Wavelength variation of the second-order nonlinear coefficients of KNbO{sub 3}, KTiOPO{sub 4}, KTiOAsO{sub 4}, LiNbO{sub 3}, LiIO{sub 3}, {beta}-BaB{sub 2}O{sub 4}, KH{sub 2}PO{sub 4}, and LiB{sub 3}O{sub 5} crystals: a test of Miller wavelength scaling

We measure second-order nonlinear coefficients using optical parametric amplification and second-harmonic generation over a range of wavelengths for the crystals KNbO{sub 3}, KTiOPO{sub 4}, KTiOAsO{sub 4}, LiNbO{sub 3}, LiIO{sub 3}, {beta}-BaB{sub 2}O{sub 4}, KH{sub 2}PO{sub 4}, and LiB{sub 3}O{sub 5}. Combining our new measurements with previously reported values, we compare the wavelength variation of individual d{sub ijk}'s with Miller scaling, and we conclude that Miller scaling is a useful approximation for these crystals.
