Title: Improvements on hydrofracturing technology and its interpretation of data. Technical report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:39482

There is a need to acquire knowledge of the in situ stress state within rock at greater depths for studies of seismology, geodynamics, hydropower and mining engineering. Since the stress relief method is, in most cases, restricted to the depths near the surface, the hydrofracturing technique has therefore been developed for stress measurements in rock mass at greater depths. The advantages of the technique have been proved by others and by our practice.
