We note discrepancies in numerical results in our calculations of the Coulomb potentials in YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 6+{ital x}} ({ital x} = 0, 0.5, 1) with those given by Wang {ital et} {ital al}. in {open_quote}{open_quote}Superconductivity and Madelung potential of YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 6+{ital x}} ordered superstructures{close_quote}{close_quote} [Phys.
