It is well established that the strength of cold drawn eutectoid steels depends on the initial interlamellar spacing and the total amount of deformation. However, the origin of delamination has not been clarified yet. Accordingly, in this study, it is attempted to investigate the effect of initial interlamellar spacing and the orientation with respect to the drawing axis on the void formation in conjunction with the deformation behavior of cementite lamellae. More significantly the relationship between the void formation and delamination is described.
