This report describes a wind energy project located in the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico, in an area called {open_quotes}La Ventosa{close_quotes}. La Ventosa is projected to become one of the largest wind farm complexes in the world. The factors to be evaluated for the project include environmental impacts on soils, plants, wildlife, air quality, noise levels, and human safety. The socioeconomic factors are also discussed.
