Massachusetts is the first state to establish Licensed State Professional for rendering opinions on remedial actions at most hazardous waste sites. This shifts the routine supervision of clean-up sites from state regulators to licensed individuals in the private sector. The state hopes to accelerate it`s environmental cleanups.
